Description

Ready to reduce your reaction times, hit those flick shots, stop overshooting your opponent, and improve your tracking, all while using the brand of mouse you like most? Then check out our weight reduction modification for the Razer Deathadder V3 (wired) gaming mouse. This base plate replaces the original base on the Dav3. The stock base weighs in at 11.8 grams, and the new base is 3.5 grams for a weight reduction of 8.3 grams.  In our testing this brought our mouse to just under 50 grams!

Installation is fairly easy with a #1 phillips and T6 torx screwdriver. There are 6 screws to remove.  Check out our install guide for a step by step walkthrough.

In the event that you want to remove the modification it is completely reversible. The old base can simply be reinstalled, and the mouse is back to original.

Created by gamers with a passion for improvement and backgrounds in design and engineering, and having 20 plus years in FPS titles, we found the lighter the mouse the quicker and more accurate you can respond and get that headshot. However, gaming mice were never light enough for us! Until we decided to engineer and create our own.

This is a pretty solid product to begin getting into modding your favorite mice or one that has just been sitting there for a while. I have installed it and played with it for almost 2 weeks now and it has been pretty damn solid overall. For me, the installation video link in the product page doesn’t work for me so, you would have to click into “blog”, on the right-hand column, click on “Install Guides”, and just scroll down to find Deathadder v3. For my experience, the installation wasn’t too bad at all. It isn’t perfect for sure. You are going to have to play with it a bit and just try to insert the base plate and take it back out a couple of times until you are sure that the main and side clicks feel normal. The only issue I had when installing the base plate was getting the rubber block of the wire, into where it needs to be seated. I ended up just wiggling and forcing it in and fully sat with no problem. You will have to purchase a new set of skates after installing the new base plate. I threw on some dot skates with some grip tape and overall, having Razer Deathadder v3 at around 51 grams roughly is pretty insane and feels really nice. It makes it much easier to track and flick rather than having to switch to a lighter or smaller mice.
