Ready to reduce your reaction times, hit those flick shots, stop overshooting your opponent, and improve your tracking, all while using the mouse you like most? Then check out our Aero base mod for the Endgame Gear OP1 8k. This lightweight base plate replaces the original base on the OP1 8k. The stock base weighs in at 9.4 grams, and the new base is 2.8 grams for a weight reduction of 6.6 grams. In our testing this brought our mouse to around 44 grams (without skates)!
Installation of the Aero mod is fairly easy with a #1 philips screwdriver and #00 philips screwdriver. There are 5 screws to remove. Check out our install guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.
In the event that you want to remove the modification it is completely reversible. The original base can simply be reinstalled, and the mouse is back to original.

easy to swap with the screwdriver the OP1 8K comes with (no the mod kit). significantly lighter than stock with the TJ Exclusives plastic skates and this mod kit as well as removing the side buttons that I don’t use. I can definitely recommend this and it did not noticeably hinder the build quality at all.
